The Berkshire piglets – a heritage breed come to the farm at six weeks of age. These piglets are a welcome addition because they have a job to do. We have a couple of acres that needs to be pigerated. Our pigs are heritage raised, allowing their natural rooting desire to do a old fashioned job of plowing and rotovating the field. Along with what they can forage their diet consists of certified organic hog mash and they are treated to organic leftovers from the Organic Community Farm Store in Duncan. The pigs are rotationally moved around the field with their portable shelter as they complete one section at a time. These are happy healthy pigs doing what pigs do best Root Around.
